hello,
i have Hino 268 2010 with 288k, Sometimes the truck does not go more than 15 MPH, the truck loss all his power, and when the truck trying back to normal speed I hear a high whistling sound, The mechanic told to me the turbo must be replaced, after I removed the turbo I found leaking oil behind the turbo, that showed in the images, I want to know the whistling sound is from this leak ?? or what ?


the last thing, I want to know what is the size of the right gasket In the red line in the picture??

The head gasket is leaking externally. This is a problem, but it's not the problem with the whistling sound.

If you're replacing the turbo, I would get an installation kit. It has all the parts you need.

Do you think you're losing power due to turbo or leakage?

I forgot to tell you, I also hear the whistle when I want to stop the truck using an exhaust brake

Any engine lights on? Is you rpm limited? Whistling could be charge air cooler leak or exhaust brake getting stuck if I were to guess with no codes.
