Maybe they didn't intend to go that far. Maybe that was the only way to go after the water started filling the cave to avoid drowning. Don't know though.

Wonderful. All are out, including the 3 SEALs and the Australian doctor that were still in the cave after the boys were rescued. Amazing what humanity can accomplish if we work together. Sad that one of the SEALs lost his life though running out of oxygen.

Also I am sad to read hate posts against Elon Musk and his mini-sub idea, that he did it for publicity, etc. Yes, it wasn't used, but is it not better to have it there and not needed than need it and not have it? And on top of it, he delivered it personally half way around the world. Now that is true Expediting!

Very difficult for any of us imagine these kids would survive the situation they were in.
Especially after the rescue team diver died.

I don't understand how there can be hate posts. I think it had a good chance of working too. Place the young person in the vessel. And have the divers escort it out of there. They should be complemented for brain storming and developing something so quickly that could have saved lives.

When I first heard they had discovered the group alive, my mind went straight to the 2010 Chilean mine rescue. I have a very vivid memory of being in an audience, listening to someone talk about that rescue. It's stayed with me ever since.

I feel there's no reasonable way to explain how this group survived other than divine intervention. I believe God directly, intentionally saved them. When people experience something that is life changing and it's soooooooo improbable, not impossible .. because it did happen, but soooooo remotely possible that it boggles the mind. I believe it's intentionally done by God! There's meaning behind it. Well ..... why? Why did God save them? ..... I don't know. That's up to them and their families to figure out. All I know is we've witnessed a miracle.

Maybe they just got lucky .. ? Ya wanna go with that one, I can't stop you .... ok

Well, aren't you missing the obvious!? What about the heroic efforts of dozens and dozens of extremely talented people to save them? What about them? .... I'm not minimizing their impact. Brilliant, skilled, courageous ... fill in whatever adjectives you want. Some risking their lives daily with one ultimately sacrificing his. I think the lens needs to be zoomed out ..... more .. more .. more .. more .... There's no way they pulled this off by themselves.

The kids had no swimming experience .... they all got out alive!
The kids had no scuba experience .... they all got out alive!
Trapped, lost, scared, in the dark, hungry for 2 weeks .... they all got out alive!
Low body temperatures, irregular heartbeats, lung infections .. maybe pneumonia .... they all got out alive!
HOPELESS! .....THEY ALL GOT OUT ALIVE!
