Translation: every company will have different rates. Unless the company pays a flat rate to the driver, every individual order can have a different rate too (somewhere between what the customer wants to pay and what the company can get away charging)

in general it will be somewhere between 70-90 cents per mile for your standard rate. Dont forget to ask more for 3 skid loads, short runs, and anything that puts you in a bad area (freight wise). But like they said, make a list of all the companies you are considering, make a list of questions you would like to know, and go one by one to decide which company. Also, take how many miles they say their drivers average with a grain of salt. All companies bid on the same load board besides direct call customers.
