January 23rd Lordstown is wiping out 3rd shift. 1200 workers layed off.

I believe General Motors Lansing Michigan just did the same thing with their 3rd shift.

its a double edged sword for us.....an assembly line slowdown allows ALL suppliers to catch up the arrears and hence less expedite loads for awhile...

So got the starter out (hour to figure out what tools and 20 minutes to remove) some cheap off brand thing ive never seen before, everything was fine save for the gear wheel separated from the shaft and rides free instead of turning with it. Napa 's delivering around 2 ish straight to the truck, unfortunately my backhaul wasn't willing to chance me being late...

You got NAPA to deliver?? Nice they won't do it here.

Load was a bust, this shipper was looking for a certain carrier, wasen't us. Denied pickup, load sat. Our carrier treated us fair, about 15% less then if loaded. Now west of D/FW with 300 more miles on the odometer:

The ole brokered 1 to many times trick!

If more would do that then that would eliminate those who have no trucks in the area (couch sitters). Then maybe rates would go back up.

My truck being looked at in our new shop in norcross. This place is gonna be so nice when they get it done. Big drivers lounge, showers, laundry, and it's inside a gated lot with ample truck parking
