so, I better off stretching a road tractor (kw,pete, international)for a s/t then buying a freightliner already specked out or try and find a fleet owner somehow?

Ok new vs used ? just lost my a_ _ on a used century class class 8 last year to the tune of 20,000.00 in repairs before i could unload it. I see a lot of freightliners are being used but have a bad taste still for that brand.

Starting in today's economy and new regs and hours of service are you better off running a van or s/t truck?? Also cost and maintenance difference between the two are considerably different.. Hardluck

I not really thrilled with a van. Don't get me wrong I had a class 8 straight truck years ago with panther. You just can't find a class 8 used with under half a million and then the major problems start.

Hello Everyone, couple questions. 1 Is it very beneficial for a newbie to attend a workshop. 2 I'm considering a Chevy van over a straight truck because of start up cost and logging. I only get my son every-other weekend. Any advice from some seasoned veterans would be greatly appreciated !!!!::
