    markings

The current law ( as I have been informed) requires that the company that operates the vehicle ( the O/O or company that is the contractee) have the company name, state, DOT number, ICC/MC and VIN listed on the door or side of the cab/sleeper. Having a line that states the vehicle is...

    past record felony

You may be able to get the record expunged. After 14 years of good conduct you do have a viable basis for an appeal. Talk with a lawyer and see if there is the possibility of getting the felony reduced to a misdemeanor and then dropped/expunged. It shouldn't cost more then $3,000.00 to get it...

    Company name on truck

You are all correct. Your name/company name, VIN, DOT, ICC/MC are required. Also you must include the name of the company you are contracted to, i.e. Panther II, Con Way etc. with a line stating the affiliation such as leased to:, contracted to:. A DBA might qualify but I'm not sure of that. It...

    HazMat

Excellent response, thanks to both of you. Just in case anyone else is looking for non HazMat employment. Express 1 does NOT require HazMat. Their recruiter phone number is : 1 866 857 4546 I'm not sure if they are a lease/option company so I'll find out and add to this thread. Don't you just...

    Ready to work now

While I'm at it, does any expediter company have non HazMat freight? I had the endorsement years ago and dropped it to save a few bucks. Judging by what I've read recently, the price and the hassle has hit the roof. $94.00 just for fingerprints?? Ouch!! I'd like to make my move by December of...

    HazMat

As an experienced driver (OTR 1.5 million plus miles) I have not had to have a HazMat endorsement for the last 9 1/2 years. The company hauled secret cars, test vehicles, show and pilot vehicles so we didn't need the H or X. My question is this: Do any of the expediter(s)hire without a HazMat...

    DOT#s on our trucks

The VIN (vehicle identification number) and the ICC/MC (interstate commerce commission)and a fuel permit number. The fuel permit number is for those states that ask if you have one. Most of the states take the information from your company or private fuel card.

    Ready to work now

I'm almost ready to move to expediting. After 1.5 million miles of OTR long haul with pilot vehicles, show cars and antique's, plus 750,000 hauling windows and doors, I'm looking forward to a more laid back form of driving. At 58 years of age, I need to increase my income and get more home time...
