Good afternoon and thanks for reading our blog. We've been on the road for just over 24 hours and we are getting a vey small taste of life as a Panther O/O. Of course there are real limitations to what we are experiencing and we know that we will never be able to go through all the trials and tribulations of an O/O, but we are out here trying. During our short time, we have already learned a few things that we will bring back to the team in Seville to make the experience of being a Panther O/O an even better one. Also we are really excited to have raised over $700 for Toys for Tots thus far in the trip. It is a great organization doing great work.
Now onto the loads...Our first load went very well and we made it to the consignee a bit early and off-loaded the four boxes. We grabbed a quick dinner back on the turnpike at BK. One of the things that I wanted to do on the road was to try to eat healthy. Well as you all know, that is something much easier said than done. I went with the BK Veggie and I won't be doing that again. We we offered a hot load that ran direct to the consignee in TN so we immediately accepted. We made it to the shipper right at shift change and it was a bit hectic to say the least. The shipper got us loaded quickly and we were on the road before midnight. After a long overnight drive we made it to TN just in time for the rain. Thankfully the consignee had a covered dock and we were able to unload without incident.
We had our front light fixed, grabbed lunch and are heading towards Louisville to see if we can grab a load up north. The rain has not stopped and we are stuck in NB traffic from the accident on 65 from early this morning. It is a reminder to us to try to be safe and secure on the road. We hope that all our you are safe and secure as well.
Thanks again for reading and we will post again soon. Still working on the web cam but that has been a bit of a challenge.
