Slick roads

Feb 10, 2010 - 9:58:16 PM | By Dale

I'm sure it's no surpise to anyone, that we have had some nasty, nasty weather in Central Ohio AGAIN the last few days. I drove up to the Akron area yesterday, and it took me over 4 and a half hrs to go about 160 miles.  Crazy stuff. The roads were so nasty, that for much of the way, traffic was moving 30-40 miles an hour.  I took it easy, and really didn't have too much trouble, but there were major wrecks all along the way, including a particularly nasty semi jack-knife accident.

I guess this ended up being a good week for the meetings I needed to attend... I wouldn't have been running much anyway with the bad weather.. so as it is, I'm just relaxing in a hotel room, watching it all on the news :)

The weather this year is so topsy-turvy. We drove a load in last night from the Allentown PA area to Cleveland, worrying all the way about when we'd hit the storm. And believe it or not, we hardly saw it snow! With Cleveland's reputation as snow country it was surreal. Now we are headed to Plattsburgh NY, and up here in what is normally buried in snow, there is barely an inch on the ground. NOT that we're complaining...it's just so unpredictable this year. Can't wait till we're complaining about the hot weather!!!
