Ultra Shift Problems

Rookie Expediter
Ultrashift in a 2007 International with a Cummins. Everytime its cold in the mornings it won't shift out of 3rd gear and the air also drops. Shut off truck, wait for air to drop, start it back up, air it up and it runs and shifts just fine. Anybody have any ideas on what would cause this?


No air leaks at idle
Replaced dessicant filter
Checked all the lines & wires making good contact...


At a loss here?

Eaton has an 800 number that is staffed by very knowledgeable trouble shooters. I don't have it in this phone.

Any chance you meant to say it won't shift out of 5th gear. That would be very logical and an easy fix.
Also, by calling Eaton soon you may point shop to problem quicker.
I imagine after 14 or so years they've heard it all.

It should be in the code of conduct if you bring a problem to a forum you need to post the final solution to educate us.
I'm still wondering if the guy with the turn signal problem burned down his Pete a few months back.

This thread was over as soon as it started.
Many people got involved with the turn signal guy, offering both good and bad advice.
If we hear what went wrong and what the correction was, anyone interested has a chance to learn something.
