The establishment is bringing out every possible means to derail Trump. They just can't stand the thought of having a nominee they can't buy and have no control of.

If that's truly the case and he can't be bought, the next step will be a bullet.

They fear Trump....so now we will tear our own candidates and party apart and hand the election to the democrats....SMH.
Can't you imagine the dem's political uproar when she has to get out? It's an interesting election year with Donald in it for sure! Especially if he wins... Builds that wall and hauls the business back to the states!

Trotting out Romney to trash Trump was silly. Doesn't look like it accomplished much.

He's banging the "Anybody but Trump" drum to try and prevent Trump from getting the necessary number of delegates. Instead of divide and conquer, the GOP is divide and survive.

Also, keep in mind that on Monday Romney Tweeted this: "A disqualifying & disgusting response by @realDonaldTrump to the KKK. His coddling of repugnant bigotry is not in the character of America." And later said Trump should have refused Duke's endorsement outright, and refused Duke's vote and the votes of Duke's supporters.

With that in mind, read this. :D

I wouldn't be too quick on that. What Trump is doing to the GOP establishment, he's also doing to the Democratic establishment. A vote for Hillary is a vote for the status quo, the same ol' same ol' crap. A vote for Trump is a vote to blow up a gridlocked, dysfunctional system of government. That sentiment has a lot of Democrats, record numbers of them, changing their party affiliation to Independent or jumping to Republican. If Donald Trump wins the nomination we may see the entire party system overturned, in a way we’ve only seen five times in our nation’s history (as we move from the Fifth Party System into the Sixth Party System that began in 1968 when the Republicans took control of the South and rural areas and the Democrats took control of the large urban areas and the Northeast, both of which had previously been the domains of the other party).

Until recently (the Internet) Democrats have been socialist, but always in a nationalistic way. The New Deal type Democrats, New Society type Democrats, cradle-to-grave type stuff. Food programs for the young, unemployment insurance and unions for adults, and Social Security for the retired. But now, thanks to the Internet and it's outlet for widespread activism, the Democrats want to pick winners and losers. They’re losing groups that used to be their staunch allies, like poor whites, police unions, and coal miners.

You’ve got all these (mostly) white Democrats who see everyone else in the Democratic Family getting the spiffy set-asides and special interest perks, but now instead of getting theirs, they’re being told they need to check their privilege, apologize, and shut up. These are the people disgusted by what the Democratic Party has become, these are the new Trump Democrats who don't want Hillary and the same ol' crap. These people have had enough. They’re being squeezed out of the Democrat party as it realigns under pressure from Internet activists and they’re flocking to Trump in a serious way. They’re making this move because, to them, Trump’s Make America Great Again is the logical successor to the New Deal and the Great Society.

Hillary says, "Yeah, I understand. I hear you. We should have more jobs and better paying jobs, by gum and by golly." Trump says, "We WILL have more jobs and better paying jobs, dammit." That's the difference.

While I do understand all this, one difference is if the GOP good ole boy network wrestles the nomination from Trump, he will go the independent route. This will divide the GOP vote more than enough to give Hillary the win.

Minnesota witnessed a similar situation in the 1998 Gubernatorial Election. Jesse Ventura, not all that different from Trump, resonated with voter's apathy and downright hatred for the established parties and the "same ol' same ol' crap". I guess by the results of Tuesday's caucuses, Minnesotans may have learned something from the 1998 election of Jesse The Brain.
