I've heard about them, I've completed the paperwork for several hundred of them, and I've gotten paid for a whole bunch of them. I've retired and I don't have to mess with them. What does PRO in pro bill mean? Thanks.

Pro stands for progressive numbering. This is usually referred to as a pro number. Panther calls their delivery receipt and load a pro. And assign a number to it.

Most LTL carriers assign a pro number to each shipment. This includes a bar coded sticker that is attached to the freight and BOL's.

If you ever get a pick up at an LTL carrier try to get a pro number for the shipment from your dispatch. It makes things much easier.
