hey how are you? i am from london ontario and want to start making deliveries with a cargo van. i have everything set up to start in the spring including a company to sign on with and a van to use. i have done all the math with the numbers i had and it seems to be a good business for me. do you enjoy what you do? just looking for some insight. the rate i would receive is as follows
-86 cents per mile
-paid from origin of dispatch
-68$ minimum (if under 80 miles)
-23$ per stop
-all tolls and boarder crossings paid
-fleet insurance 68$ weekly

That sounds like an average deal for a van. Some vans get closer to a dollar a mile some get less than 86 cents. Expediters from Canada would know more than me. That deal may be ok to start, main thing is,do they keep you loaded.

My question would be do they keep you loaded? Is it dedicated stops or is it ran from a board? Empty miles fequently mean dead heading to pick up a load not dead heading to move to a better location. Just questions you may want to ask. Again from the states so need some canadian expediters to chip in advice.
