KNOWING THE FACTS

What i'm hearing so far, Is you have to have the facts about what it cost you per mile to run. ( Is this loaded or unloaded )or both? You have to get your average of miles somewhere. Where would a newcomer get this type of info. And is the drivers pay calculated into this, if so, How would one figure this in when starting up? OR does this not go in the formula yet? Lets say you know your cost per mile is .54
Now where does the driver come in, And what is the magic number everyones looking for as far as a profit. Would one be way off to look for .55 a mile profit, This being whats left over after fixed cost and drivers are paid there %. Looks like without a formula all you are doing is quessing. And as most I don't like to quess. I have already seen most peoples formula is diffrent, But really the same as far as the basics. Anyway thanks for all the help.

Do not forget your quarterly taxes. Your number of .54 may be your truck, fuel, insurance etc. but don't forget the taxes
