One of the rewards of being on the road is rewarding yourself with a nice stay in a hotel. I have managed to rack up points to have more that 1 or 2 night stays. So when I have some hard weather drives that tighten up the back muscles I look for a place with a hot tub and gym.
Its amazing what a good workout and a soak in a hot tub or even a hot bath can do for a driver, ready to go the miles again in the allotted hours.
After relaxing in my room that came along with the hot tub and gym I received no load offers. Why?? I was told by the this company that I am an O/O with, if I am in a hotel I am out of service "not in writing on the contract" but drivers with no sleepers are ok to stay In a hotel and still be in service.
Needless to say this was an unwelcomed double standard in my book. But that is how you find out who you are working with.
Ahhhh but is it even sweeter when the dictator knows not what you do. HA HA HA
