Fleet Owners in NC,TN,GA,SC?

Hi all,

Newbie looking to gain experience in the industry by working as a company driver or for a fleet owner before becoming a Cargo Van O/O.
Thing is, I'm looking to start part time, log about 2,500mi/mo. I've called around to companies like Fleet1 and responded to classifieds here on EO and everyone so far is looking for full time only.

Anyone know a cargo van fleet owner in the NC,SC,GA,TN region that could be interested in a part-time, per-diem employee?
I'm in Asheville NC, willing to travel 4-6hrs to where a fleet owner is based.

Available at the drop of a hat to drive across the country and back, or even regional runs. Fine with down time waiting for a return load or deadheading back a bit. I'm flexible, perfect driving record etc, just looking to get my feet wet before I commit to O/O.

That's going to be a tough one. Especially since most of us are already running part time at a full time job. I really can't see anybody in this biz that would want a part timer, although I have seen an add for a fill in person before, so any things possible.

You may have better luck with local couriers.
