So, it seems this Expedite thing is really geared for o/o. Seems if you really wanna break in you have to buy. True? Not true?

Sort of. Expedite is overwhelmingly owner/operator. There are a few expedite companies with company vans (asset carriers), but they are few and far between. Most expedite carriers are non-asset carriers, meaning they don't own any trucks. There are quite a few fleet owners, however, who own several trucks and then lease them to drivers. You lease (partner up with, whatever) the truck from the fleet owner (usually for a 60/40 split of revenue) and you're an independent contractor driving their truck. You're not an employee in that situation. Just like there are good drivers and bad drivers, fleet owners run the gamut, as well.
