    Tandem Axles or NOT?????????

I have heard alot of people talk about this crazy tax, but I have a twin screw straight tagged at 52000 and a single screw straight tagged at 33000 and they both cost about the same to tag. I recently purchased a tractor trailer and when you tag over 56000 it cost about $500 for the heavy road...

    Help!!

Every time they have done a compressor they have done a dryer under warranty as well. The tanks have a little in them but the dryers have been able to keep them pretty clean. When ever the truck is parked and idling it will leave a oil spot on the ground under the purge valve.

3 compressors were put on in georgia and just one in dallas, but nobody has mentioned anything about that drain so this is extremely helpful. I will have that checked at the next dealer.

    Tractor Lease

I have been thinking about doing a tractor lease from Ryder, Penske, or Paclease. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with one of these companies and how it worked out for you. I talked with Ryder and Penske briefly and they told me with the mileage I would be doing I would need to...

Covert a class 8 tractor to straight truck

My freightliner is a twin screw and I have it registered at 52000. As long as you have a drop axle or second drive axle sure you can up your weight.

Covert a class 8 tractor to straight truck

I can relate with the DOT, somewhere on my truck is a sign that reads " Please pull me in and inspect me" and I have not been able to locate it so I can take it off! 550HP sure would get it done in a hurry! LOL even my 400HP is too much you can set the cruise and it too never slows down. I think...

Advise about truck purchase for training opp.

I would not buy without getting some experience. Not saying you cant drive, you just need to come out and experience this type of work before you take that dive!! If this guy is legit he will be around in a year when you get a taste for this business. If and when you do buy make sure you buy a...

    DT466 Inframe question

I just had my International DT466 inframed 3000 miles ago and it is using 3 quarts every 600 miles. The mechanic said this is normal and is not sure how long it will take for the rings to seat with the new liners, this is an International dealer also not some shade tree. If this is normal I can...

    engine performance

I have two friends that have theses same motors and they had the same issue. They both changed filters and paid freightliner alot of money to search and search for this issue, and on both trucks it was the "Boost sensor" on the turbo.

Transmission fluid as an engine flush?

Hate to make it difficult on you, but if you put new lifters in and dont replace the cam it will wipe off your cam lobes in no time.
