July in the land of Load One

Sitting here in the load 1 service bay feeling very nostalgic . They are removing my Qualcomm and lettering. Thinking about all of the adventures I have been on over the last 9 years. Expediting has been very good to me but also not so good (health wise). So with this I say goodbye to the...

was out going for a walk this evening and noticed this abnormality. Thought I would keep it but then thought about clearance issues. DOT might have something to say about it. Is this my pot of gold John?

I was raised to always do my best. Be top of the heap. Be the champion. My competitive side runs very deep. HOWEVER, I am pretty sure I am number 1 on a certain list that I don't want to be on. Hoping I get knocked down off of my perch very soon.[emoji12]

I like to "Lurk" and on occasion let everyone know I am still alive and kicking.

    April @ Team Load One

I have a buddy who is a Progressive insurance adjuster and flew down to San Antonio on Sunday to help with all of the extra claims in the area. He said he will be there a minimum of three weeks. My understanding is that all of the I-35 corridor in Texas has been hit extremely hard. Be wise and...

    February in Load 1 Nation

And this is why I moved up to straight trucks 2 1/2 years ago. The market was flooded then in the van/sprinters. Can't imagine what it's like now.

    November and load one!

6+ inches in Chicago with some areas getting 8-12. Be careful, first snows of the year are always the worst.

    August in Load One Nation

I just had a weekend load deliver on Monday morning to Williston, ND. When I accepted the load I KNEW there were no loads in the area and I would have to DH out on my own dime. After I delivered I waited 34 hours to reset my 70 hour clock then took off for Minneapolis. I also made dispatch aware...

    August in Load One Nation

If it were me and I delivered to NB I would have immediately done a 19 for Laredo, and if it were backed up there I would have then done 1 for Dallas and Houston and if push came to shove then El Paso. Those are the only places to sit in Texas and have a realistic shot at loads. Just my 2 cents...

It retails for $550 - $600 online and it was only 160,800 points. It took me about 15 months to get the points. Not bad for watching some videos, logging correctly, and answering a question a day. Thanks again John.

Been awhile since I have come to this site but had to share the following. First, had a Dynamite sighting the other day as they blew by me ;) Second, first time in a straight truck I "had" to take a 34 hour shut down as I was really low on hours. :) and third, just got word I received the...

Working on financing to build a fleet but keep getting set back. I hope English Lady will keep her patience with me as I was hoping to purchase her truck and keep it rolling.

    June in Load One land

In March I had the transmission issue which put me down for over three weeks, cost me $400 to transfer the load to Dynamite plus the remainder of the load. Then cost me $5k in repairs which is still not working properly but living with it. Then April I just couldn't get much going. All part of...

As far as work goes things are better, even thou I was stranded along the interstate last week because I had a brake chamber go out. 10 miles from delivery. $500 and 3 hours later I was back up and rolling. Things couldn't get much worse than March and April.

Thanks John. EO to me is like food. I can only eat the same thing for so long then have to step away for awhile. I, of course, had to check in to see how the talk was going about the big news today. ;)

    Big News For Load One

Being an O/O leased on with L1 I think this is a VERY smart move. I think it's a win win for all parties involved. Seems to me the only nay sayers are the ones that don't even have a dog in the fight.

Drove through Oklahoma City on my way north Monday. If I would have known you were in Tulsa I would have stopped by and bought you a bag of ice to put your feet in to keep cool. ;)
