That’s true. Many of the Dodge dealers won’t work on the Promaster.

How many miles do the Ford Transit Engines last?

My friend with Bolt has 385,000 on the 3.5 Transit with no major problems. He replaced two throttle bodies and a couple of the coil packs. He bought a second Transit for that day when this one craps out but he is really happy with the one he has.

Mercedes opens Charleston SC Sprinter plant

Go on YouTube and watch fast lane truck review of the 2019 Sprinter. He does a good review and gives good info on the new models. He said the gas engine won’t be out for a while. I Like the new interior. May have to order the diesel unit. We will see. I’m excited to drive the new unit.

How Has Electronic Logging Changed the Trucking Industry?

It would be good to see the A-team again. You are a class act. Back to the original question. As an AA&E team. It seems like the rates have gotten better. I think it is because of the eld’s. We are being asked to deadhead farther to cover commitments the agents have made. We have had some runs...

    2015 Ford Transit Maintenance Costs

I don’t have all the numbers ready for the Promaster. In the last 19 months I have spent $9500. All new cooling system, tuneup twice, brakes twice. CV joints/axels. Shocks/struts. The first 200,000 had little expense but the last 227,000 are a different story. Now at 427,000 still have original...

Is anybody else excited about new gas powered Sprinter?

If you are willing to spend 40-50K on a new vehicle, don’t skimp on service work. You might save a few bucks but..... now that our Promaster has 425,000 on it and it’s 4 Year’s old, a local shop is fine. Luckily we have a really good dealer about an hour away. They always get us right in but...

    Requesting knowledge

I have a friend with Bolt and they have been running his wheels off. Sometimes the rate is too low and he just says no. Later they will call with a better rate. I have never run for them so don’t know much. But he is happy and getting a ton of miles. Just a thought for what it’s worth. So...

    Do you trust your GPS?

I like the Garmin because of the hazmat routes. It give you a little more confidence as long as you watch the signs as well. And my co-driver is watching the iPad route as well. And I have done all the other follow up I can do. The seven inch screen is nice too.

Is anybody else excited about new gas powered Sprinter?

Should be able to haul 3000#’s legally. With the 170” ext should be 197” of floor space from seat back to back door. Gasser is most likely the 2.0L twin turbo. 188 hp. One dealer said mileage in the mid twenties with the 9 speed trans. Beats the 17.5 in my Promaster. Wish it had a V8.
