    No Forced Dispatch

hmmmm how about because when you go into the shipper and tell them you're with Load 1 and there to pick up such and such load...they look at you like you're crazy and say we don't have anything for Load 1. Do you have a pick up number? So you call dispatch and dispatch says I have to call the...

    No Forced Dispatch

Thx James...I hate for ppl to think I'm making this stuff up. John and his little cheer leading squad can make up whatever they want to...everything I've said on here is the truth as I see it. I would hate to see anybody else leave a company they're with thinking they're going to a non forced...

    No Forced Dispatch

And if you broker 100's of loads every week..why the heck do you have trucks sitting around all over with no freight for days at a time?...just curious

    No Forced Dispatch

Well John...I've prob been in this business as an owner op as long as you have. And I'm telling you that almost every load I hauled for your company was a 3rd party load. Now you can try to make it look like it's all sunshine and lollypops at your company..but I was lied to..you do not run a no...

    No Forced Dispatch

Come on blizzard...the reason they don't broker out many loads is because they don't have many shippers. Almost every load I hauled while at Load 1 was a 3rd party or 4th party load. They are just getting the junk loads and overflow from other carriers!

    No Forced Dispatch

I guess working at landstar all those years spoiled me. Alot of these clowns that have to have a dispatcher lead them around would never make it with the big blue star. Most of the dispatchers at Load 1 act like you're bleeding them dry if you ask for $1.50 a loaded mile for a D unit. But that's...

    No Forced Dispatch

Yeah I'll post it...if you put their signs on your truck it's 70% to the truck.

    No Forced Dispatch

guess again...if u're gonna post to my question try reading my response and u won't have to guess:) If every company is non forced dispatch...why would a company punish a driver for turning down a load?

    No Forced Dispatch

It did turn out to be interesting. 150 posts and nobody could think of another company besides Landstar that was non forced dispatch ...guess that settles that question:) thx for the replys and you Load 1 cheerleaders keep shakin those pom poms LOLOL

    No Forced Dispatch

I went to load1 because that is where the truck was already leased on. Landstar is a fine place to work if you can cut it.:) That's why i'm going back. I don't need a baby sitter to tell me what loads to take or what area to stay out of. Any other questions?

Wow! Stuck in Texas for 3 days, gotta refuse loads down here from now on.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why there are loads going for 75 cents! lol

    No Forced Dispatch

Well IDK hero...i owned and operated my own truck for 25 years before driving for an owner. I have to admit I like not having to pay for repairs and insurance etc. But what does that have to do with Load 1 being a forced dispatch company? That was the begining of this..I wanted to know if...

    No Forced Dispatch

How about because I have delivered to Toledo at least 4 times since driving for Load 1 and have never gotten reloaded out of the Toledo area. Always ended up dead heading back to the detroit area to reload. You know that everything has to come back to Taylor so they can reload their trucks!

    No Forced Dispatch

While you're waving your pom poms around you should answer my question...be honest. I know there are drivers at load 1 doing very well...and more power to em. I've never been a brown noser myself so I didn't expect to be on top of the heap... If it had been no forced dispatch I would still be...

    No Forced Dispatch

You are exactly where you need to be then. Let dispatch decide where you will run and how much they will pay you. Kind of takes the pressure of making your own decisions off huh...Why did you want to own your own van if you are going to let somebody else tell you every move to make?? Jus curious.

    No Forced Dispatch

Don't try to make it look like I lied about why I was asked to leave. The last month which ended on may 31st I decided to haul whatever loads I was offered..the last 2 weeks I sat in northern Iowa for 4 days and finally dead headed back to chicago area. The next week I took a load to New...

    No Forced Dispatch

I agree with some of what you said. Still doesn't change what NO FORCED DISPATCH MEANS. One reason for turning down a short run...say to Toledo would be maybe because the person may have already ran 2 150 mile trips in a row and he knows he is gonna have to dead head back to Taylor to load out...
