Why in the world would anyone want to take the time to correspond with a bunch of students they do not know? What good could possibly come of being an adult corresponding with a bunch of kids?
The above was my exact thoughts many years ago as I thought about taking the time out of my busy day to look for a postcard, or write to a group of kids I had no connection with. I am a busy person and I have work to take care of and I do not need to become a pen pal. No way was I going to do something so silly and those were my famous last words.
