Question for those who have experience making some OTR runs - how can I make my cab more "liveable?" I have the standard (you know, a bed) but I'm trying to find ways so make the nights more enjoyable when I'm not simply sleeping. Any suggestions?

What are your interests? The truck space itself is mostly the same whatever kind of truck you have. Custom sleepers offer more choices but the basic functionality remains the same among sleepers of the same class.The things that make the nights more enjoyable have less to do with what goes on with the truck space and more to do with your interests.
I've seen drivers playing musical instruments, working out, watching TV, punching a bag hung off the mirror outside the truck, completing online college courses, cooking fancy meals, smoking cigarettes and looking out the window, doing their business paperwork, studying the Bible, watching porn, playing cards with their co-driver, talking on the phone, having sex with prostitutes (I presume after the lot lizard is seen entering and the curtains close), playing computer games, surfing the web, watching movies and more. While it's not an in-truck experience, many drivers group up in the parking lot or truck stop restaurant to talk shop, politics and most any other topic.

A Kindle and free books from bookbub.com, freebooksy.com or any of several other sites offering a daily email of suggestions. A laptop computer and any of the scores of free classes available from dozens of universities including, I think, Harvard and MIT. I'm sure there are plenty of other options but those two could keep you busy for years. Good luck.

We have taken up videography which takes up a lot time and is very fun. Satellite tv is our second go too. Getting out of the truck and exploring is the number one reason we got into traveling. What ever your hobbies may be, make time for them on the road. It makes the job so much more fun.
What provider do you use for satellite tv and how much is it a month?
