Why Bernie is beating Hillary

(CNN)Bernie Sanders' stellar victory in New Hampshire showed that his campaign has some serious legs. He won 6 of 10 voters and led in virtually every demographic category, except for those over 65 and households earning more than $200,000.

Slowly, Sanders has been undercutting Hillary Clinton's electoral strength and putting together a campaign that could go all the way into the summer convention.

After reading the first two paragraphs of this article I wonder how this ever made it to print. Sanders, being from Vermont had to win in New Hampshire or he was toast. So that really isn't a newsworthy revelation. The Iowa Caucuses were a virtual tie, so I guess that the statement that Sanders has been slowly undercutting Hillary Clinton's electoral strength is somewhat accurate, although a great stretch. Sure, his campaign could go all the way to the summer convention, mostly because who else is there to oppose Clinton? Bernie might be the man, but this article does little to support that.

You've got to remember though, when Bernie announced he was running, people said "Bernie who?" And Hillary being the nominee was a forgone conclusion.

Bernie who, Hillary who. It doesn't matter who is who, this article is turd journalism or turd editorial-ism.
It is extraordinarily difficult to imagine that a democratic socialist could win a general election in the post-Ronald Reagan era. WHAT?
Re-read this article and think about each sentence you read.

And she still got as many delegates as sanders because of super delegates who can vote for who they want. Appointed by party chairs so it's most likely predetermined where their vote is going.

If she continues to get shellacked like she did in New Hampshire those Super Delegates will fall over like a deck of cards for the other candidate.

The author pens a weekly column for CNN. He is a professor of political history at Princeton. His mother is a famous (very left-wing) sociologist at Princeton, and his father is a rabbi at a Jewish temple in Metuchen, NJ.

Zelizer has written many books, including one about Lyndon Johnson's Herculean, heroic struggle to get his Great Society up and running, and one about the darkest of dark times, the epitome of evil known as The Regan Years.

It comes as no surprise when he characterizes Bernie Sanders' ideas as "not radical at all" and as "mainstream."

I was on a load last night but listened to it. Mostly it was just boring politispeak with Hillary pandering (desperately) to women and anyone under 65 year old, and Bernie pandering (broken recordly) to anyone and everyone who wants free stuff. Until the very end. They got a little testy with each other at the end. That was fun. If you didn't know better, you'd think her and Obama were sweet on each other and have been bumpin' ugly, but it was pure pandering to the blacks of South Carolina, who ate it up (according to the polls and interviews after the debate from those in SC who were gathered to watch).

Kind of funny how two old white folks are pandering to the minorities when the republicans have two Cubans, a African American, and a woman. Well until she dropped out.

Hillary, the original birther, whose campaign engaged in racial politics toward Obama in 2008, is now his puppet. If elected, she'll be the first black woman President.

Well, I fell asleep before the end so missed anything good haha. Overall, I can't say I dislike Sanders, but that's pretty easy when the other person is Hillary.
