I was informed by a buddy today the new structure fuel surcharge that most of the carriers have is at four cents this week so that would make most of The major carriers total $.84 a mile

Wow. Is that per loaded mile.
And 50 free DH miles with some carriers, then 10 cpm?
Or 100 DH @ 20 cpm?
Gets to be rough math if DH more than 10%.

Gotta love load info given to Murray & Sally...
1 piece 2000 #s unknown dimensions.... Get to shipper, one container @ 121 #s
Loaded headed to West Virginia after only five hours of being unloaded :)

The load I took on Tuesday said 31# with dims of 48x48x48. I think an empty skid weighs that much. LOL. It turned out to just be a small box, like I figured it would be. I think the dims are just a default number.

Delivered last night in KC. At the Ameristar Casino now. Much better place then that ratty old J that's here. Very truck friendly and less then 5 miles from that J. About 40 TT here last night but I'm the only van. And bonus, a $12.99 buffet, including drinks!

Dropped in Jacksonville 3 hours early. Drove to the TA, got a load within an hour. Nice weekend load, one small skid that delivers late Sunday afternoon in the Indy area. Almost 950 mile weekender. Team CRE rocks it again!

We made it home safe and sound...
Had a bad vibration at around 60 mph, at times you could barely hang onto the steering wheel...
Mechanic cant see us until tomorrow, hopefully it's not too serious.?.?.?

Oh, that was front end??? I've had that on both vans. "Death Wobble". It didn't go away until I did shocks, bushings and front tires. Had it checked 2-3 time BEFORE that and it never was discovered. Now it's 100% gone on Sally's van. It was even so bad one time she made me driver down to a drop she made to drive the van straight to the shop. Quite scary!!
I think my worst Death Wobble ever was carrying 3 skids from VT to upstate NY down a steep little mountain. I thought I was going to hop right off the road and down a cliff!!! AAAAAEEEEEEYYYYYYYY!!!
