On the Profile page there is a new Post Areas tab next to Profile Posts, Recent Activity, Postings, Information, etc. That tab shows the member's post and thread count of each forum in which the member has posted at least one message.

Everything is a link.
The forum names are links to the corresponding forums.
The Threads and Posts counts are links to an automatic search for all of the Threads that member has started and to all of the Posts from that member in that particular corresponding forum.
Only publicly visible posts / threads are counted, so if you have posts in a forum that isn't visible to someone, they won't see your post count in that forum. For example, the threads/posts that have been moved to The Truck Wash will not show up in the counts to be viewed by anyone who can't view The Truck Wash.

At first glance it just gives a good scorecard about which areas you post to, but for those doing research especially, it lets you quickly drill down to someone's posts in a given forum.
