Cheaper to buy solar panels and mount them on a van......and make a battery bank bigger.

Not if you have to buy a van to do it.

You can add additional AGM batteries for longer runtimes, as well as additional solar panels (or even a wind turbine). It's handy for tailgating, camping, and emergencies. It's not waterproof, though.
