    Fishing the Dry Tortugas

I am exploring the idea of a guys only fishing trip to the Dry Tortugas in Feburary. It would leave Key West on a Mon and return on a Wed. The boat including tackle, bait and tip would be $600.00 per person. That does not include food, drinks etc. This trip would be for 6 fishermen total. Anyone interested in going let me know. If we can get the 6 guys I will look into available dates etc.

I fished with this outfit several years ago and had a GREAT time and we never made it out to the Tortugas. We caught well over 300 fish for the trip that including 31 different species.

I got an email from him today and the rates are the same as last years. Just throwing this out to see if there is any interest.

    Re: Fishing the Dry Tortugas

I fished Lake Superior shortly after eating at a questionable Mexican restaurant. I developed the yowling skitters, followed by the dry Tortugas. It wasn't a pleasant day of fishing.

Sorry Layout, but I couldn't resist. Sounds like a fun trip. Hope you get some takers. My apologies also to John Steinbeck and the Joads.

I hear you. That's why I enjoy my Boundry Waters/ Quetico trips. Away from everything, even motors.

Do you spend the entire time at sea on the boat?

    Re: Fishing the Dry Tortugas

We did the last time. I wanted to go to see Ft. Jefferson but the weather did not allow us to get out to the Tortugas. We fished behind the Margasis(sp?) keys the entire times. I still hope to see that Fort sometime, it is on my "bucket list" .
