User Pages

Since the forum was revamped, I am seeing some red 'x's in places where there perhaps should be a graphic or something, like on people's user pages, in various spots, including if someone doesn't have an avatar, it will instead show a little box with a red x in it. Other places too, on headings of things, as if there is supposed to be a pic of some sort. Is anyone else seeing those, or have I got a setting on my computer which doesn't allow me to view all pics?

Also.. I wanted to mention.. on a person's userpage/homepage, whatever it's called.. there is a place to leave a message.. these are NOT private messages, everyone can view them.. seems to me that people are tending to post there, probably thinking they're private..

I don't really know what this is for, it's kinda confusing.. like is it for a public conversation behind the scenes, or is it to post a visitor message like used to be the case? I think it should say something different, to enlighten visitors that everyone will see what they post, like.. 'leave a public message for blahblah' or something!

It's a mystery. Leave it alone. Don't play with it.
