I was told today by a dealer of freightliners m108 that the mbe 900 is not available in the 2009 it has been replaced with the ISC cummins.Has anyone used this engine before, and if so what problems did you have if any.

I don't know about the newer ones but the older ones are good engines. To be exact I think the newer ones are going into a lot of MHs now.

I personally knew a fellow who had cummins M 11 in his Fld with a bit over a million miles pulling a flatbed though..Depends on how you take care of them

I'd take an isc over the mbe all day long and twice on Sunday. Why do you tink FL is going back to Cummins??? Got a clue?

Do the older (2000+) ISC's have an engine brake? I thought they all did but I see some advertised that say no.

Yes, some could be ordered with a Jake Brake and others ordered with an exhaust brake. I have the latter on mine.
