I heard Ford modified the software to match the power of Cummins and Duramax . The engine wasn't designed to produce that much hp . International versions were only 270 hp .

actually the Engine is designed for match more power !
I have installed an Edge programmer on the power-stroke , so i can save fuel when loaded .
it worked well , as the truck is up to gross at 26,000 pounds ,
another 20 Hp can keep the Tranny from dropping a gear.
the Edge will get you the option of up to 100 more Hp !
and it will not void any warranty !!!

Edge Products Juice w/ Attitude Monitor - EP10104

i only wish this line of product will be available one day for a large trucks ,
imagine choosing the engine output as you get loaded ,
and feeding less horses when Empty .
big fuel saver !

NO !

got all the junk out as i bought the truck,
K&N Intake , and a 4" stainless steal Exhausts system all the way from the turbo ...
have bought it all on the internet for about 1,600 $ , and installed it myself ,
probably got 1.5 to 2 MPG more out of the Engine.
good investment in today Diesel prices ,
again , hopping to see some of those products make it to the trucking industry .

you will not believe the limitations ford put inside the intake manifold , the Engine have no chance of 'bereaving' well ...
