Queen sizedbed in sleeper

i need some ideas on having a queen sized mattress in a sleeper without havung to use jigsaw peices. i was thinking maybe a murphy bed but then you would lose alot of storage space.

accually i don't know, i swear our old bed was way smaller but i don't think a sleeper is 80 wide

I don't know how you could enlarge the bed, keep all your storage, and stay with that same sleeper. You might look at Home and see about getting a sleeper extension. Don't know how expensive it would be sine they would have to move the box back and everything. Worth checking into I would think.

Re: Queen sizedbed in sleeper

i guess i should have stated an idea i have come to realise, well it's a consept right now still putting it together. but the closet that alot of expidit trucks have in the back. if you made that way bigger it should do two things or you. one give you more space to put stuff obviouly and the second thing logically would be that it would fill that dead area back there in theroy getting ride of a zone that breaks up your air flow.there by increaseing your mpg now it might not help alot but it's still an improvment i would think

Re: Queen sizedbed in sleeper

When I was driving a truck like yours I told my wife a plan I had if it were mine. I would first take out the top bunk. Then I would take a piece of conduit and run across the top of the sleeper at the very top where the bunk once was. I would hang my clothes there. Then I would take out the plastic closets and put in a bigger bed. Then I would make some wooden cabinets to put where the old ones had been. You know to put a mini fridge a to store various things. I have a bleueprint in my head, but getting it on paper would be more difficult. I find alot of times it's hard to get others to understand exactly what you have thought up. All I can say is if you think it can work try it. If nothing else it might be a trial and error thing.

Re: Queen sizedbed in sleeper

Unless you've got a custom sleeper at least about 120" I don't see how you could have a queen bed. A queen is 60x80 so it would have to go on the back wall and would extend out 5 feet toward the hood. I've seen Bentz sleepers with a standard full size bed that's 54x76 I believe and even that is very large in a truck sleeper. I don't see how a queen could work other than in a true custom sleeper.
