sprinters are pure junk/mileage is incorrect also/will hold up for about 20000 miles then bein to fall apart/chrysler will not stand behind//they should not be recognized as a comm vehicle

Re: Sprinter info
I think the 3.0 v6 is a gas engine,if your breaking 20 mpg with it that's outstanding.I may be wrong, but i thought the older Sprinters got better MPG.

Re: Sprinter info
Thanks everyone for the info, keep it coming both the good and the bad. One thing I believe in is advice adds to knowledge, and the knowledgeable know when the advice is good or bad. So, keep it coming, I am getting into a new adventure and need advce on the Sprinter. Thanks, Jack

Re: Sprinter info
The 3.ol V6 is the new diesel which replaces the former 5cyl. I'm hearing that the new V6 does not get the fuel mileage that the old engine did.

Re: Sprinter info
I'm running at 19 mpg, but I have an apu on the roof that creates 2 mpg worth of drag. With a killer tailwind I'll get 22 mpg, but that's only happened twice. And I know what I'm talking about because I own it and run it.

Re: Sprinter info
Great info, and thanks again. If you were getting into a new Sprinter, any ideas on what you would add or improve on? My Sprinter is coming thru without a right side window in the sliding door, do you feel this will create a blind spot?

Re: Sprinter info
I have a 144 inch 07 with the mid top (3 heights on this unit), 6 cy diesel. 15 mos old 74,000 miles. I mostly drive metro Chicago, although I have been out on the road much more this month. I get consistanly 20 mpg +/- .5 mpg mile, fast, slow, load, no load, a/c on/off, city or highway. My buddy has a 2006 one month older then mine short normal top
80,000 miles 5 cy. He gets between 23-27 but speed, weight, a/c. local or road makes a big difference in his mileage. He has had no problems, I have had more then my fair share.
