Moisture

I am getting moisture behind the headlight cover on the driver's side. I have a 2006 Freightliner. The lense is not clouding up. There is water in it. How does it get there? How do I get it out and keep it out? Layoutshooter

Re: Moisture

Moist warmer air is drawn into the light assembly during the daytime and the colder air at night causes the moisture in the trapped air to condense and pool at the bottom of the assembly. A seemingly airtight container will inhale and exhale the air due to temperature variations. A minute droplet each day soon becomes a small visible puddle. Drill a 1/8 inch hole at the botttom rear of the assembly to allow the water to escape.
