Post Sprinter Auxillary Fuel Tank

Looking for anyone who has an auxillary fuel tank installed on the sprinter's. Existing tank is 26 gallons, am looking to double that if possible.

Re: Sprinter Auxillary Fuel Tank

It's possible. Expensive as all get out, but possible. There's a company in France that makes direct replacement tanks, yank out the 26 gallon tank and put in a 50 gallon tank. It's about $1600 plus about a grand for shipping. The larger tank and additional fuel instantly adds 500 pounds to your empty weight.

You might try Creative Mobile Interiors in Grove City, OH. Phone is 614-539-4600. They do camper conversions and have installed a few of those tanks. I don't they they do many of those tanks anymore, but they might have one laying around, or they might know of a domestic fabricator.

The problem with the larger tank in hauling freight is, it's not cost effective.
There's no cost benefit. The increased cost of the decrease in fuel economy (due to the added weight) won't outweigh the benefit of less frequent fuel stops. Good luck, tho.
