Fuel Tax Rebate
Has anybody tried to recoup the fuel tax on the fuel burned by a generator?

I figured that, lol.
Well I don't know much about Reefer fuel, sorry.
Stationary Generators are exempt, I would assume that because the APU/Generator is not a primary motive source so i would assume that you could consider it the same as a reefer but must have a seperate fuel tank.

RE: Fuel Tax Rebate
Col. got it right, your probably talking $50.00 a year. Not worth your time. I use to own a Boat, so I gave the state free $ as it was not road worthy if you get my drift.
Somethings are not worth the bother or worry and this is one of them.... Be happy your saving $ by not ideling.

RE: Fuel Tax Rebate
If you have someone like The Alliance do your taxes for you they'll take care of it. You do something on your return that recoups the taxes paid on fuel used in the generator. If you had a separate tank for APU fuel it could be bought at the pump like reefer fuel without the tax.
