From Ron & Glenna Chidester, Founders and Owners of Tri-State

Hello again from Perrysburg, Ohio and thanks for being on the Tri-State Team.

With Spring here, and summer just around the corner, our management staff has already begun preparations for the Appreciation Picnic in July.

The Picnic will be held on July 12th from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

As usual, there will be lots of food, fun and prizes. Mark the date on your calendar. We look forward to seeing you at the Picnic!

Our management team is very enthusiastic about the possibilities that 2008 presents. They are working hard to keep your Settlements at the top, to increase our customers’ base rates, to push Fuel Surcharges higher and to reduce low mileage runs. We continue to work on our goal of creating a freight system where you never feel the need to decline a load and to keep you on the road running miles.

Our Sales and Marketing Department has already begun the work necessary to provide us with more freight opportunities. They are focused and ready to work hard to go after new customers, and renew our relationship with customers that we have done business with in the past.

When we started our Truckload Division, we had approximately 10 trucks. Now our Truckload Division has 55 trucks. The Truckload Division continues to grow in the form of dedicated runs and targeted lanes for our tractor/trailer operators. The Truckload business is not as volatile by nature as expedite and that leads to less down time for the owner operators that participate in the Truckload program. Every week we see an increase in the number of dedicated freight lanes.

The Contractor Lead Program has produced many leads. Remember, if you give us a lead that turns out to be a new customer for us, it is money in your pocket. We love to hear about sending you money for successful new business. In order to be paid for a customer referral, you need to refer a company that we have not done business with in the past, or a company that we have not done business with in the last 12 months. This is a way to put additional money in your pocket so keep your eyes and ears open for new business!

Our primary focus every day is to provide first class transportation services. Secondly, we continue to explore, develop and establish new programs and practices. New customer opportunities, a renewed focus on expedite freight and new sources of traditional truckload freight are all ahead in this next quarter.

Remember….more opportunities create more money for everybody.

In closing, be safe every day/every run and thanks for being on the Tri-State Team!

Ron & Glenna Chidester
