starting next week- what should I keep track of?
Hi Frank,
Monday I am starting with a fleet owner, and I will be getting 20% of gross to the truck. The owner pays for workman's comp, and uniforms, and puts me in a hotel once a week. I will be paying for only my food and entertainment and the occasional toll- though reimbursed at the end of the month. Will I be able to write off my laptop and wireless card- since I will be using it for finances over the road and as my routing helper? What about health insurance and a health savings account?
Also, I hear I must make estimated tax payments quaterly- what do I need to do?
I realize I may have to contact you directly, but any quick info you can give me would be appreciated.
