Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
I don't care who wins the Election as Long as Obumma gets his walking Papers, And as Long as it isn't another One of those Criminal Democrats! The Democrats have Sunk to an All Time Low This Time, and That's Lower than Whale Crap and That's at the Bottom of the Ocean! I Lost All Respect for them and I am so Glad that I Dropped Out of the Democratic Party! Seems that I Can Sleep Better Now.

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
Why does it have to be a conservative?
A lot of people are turned off by their messages and positions.
The present situation for our country may not be one for a conservative to solve, but maybe a libertarian or classic liberal to solve.
About the electoral college, the state may vote one way but the representatives can and have voted another way. The system works, it doesn't favor one party over another but favors both major parties over the people. Without the people being involved beyond November 11th, there is little reason for congress to fear the people.Greg

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
It doesn't have to be a conservative. As a proponent of conservatism, I merely hope it is a true conservative. Middle-of-the-road types are hopelessly lost and confused, in my estimation. Arlen Specter comes to mind. Pure opportunist.. devoid of any real values. People want to know what they are voting for... who could get excited over mush?

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
Putting in the changes that I suggest, making the vote of the college mandatory, would put the people back in control. The would spread the power across the entire nation as opposed to only a few cites. As it stands now, there is little reason for a candidate to even pay attention to Montana or Alaska. Just win a few big cites and your president.

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
I don't think that's true. Most people in the US are more fiscally and socially conservative than they are liberal. However, we are continually TOLD by the mainstream media in both news and entertainment programming that people are turned off by conservative messages and positions. Conservatives are portrayed as backward, ignorant or uninformed, cruel and insensitive, and always against the common man. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When conservative positions are factually represented on an item-by-item basis most educated and independant minded people find themselves leaning that direction as opposed to the liberal alternative.

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
I didn't dig it up anywhere. I made a statement based on a strong likelihood. There are elections talking about the tea party candidate now. Based on the current debacle it's more likely a third party will occur. If it does there will be a lot of people "making a statement" and in doing so will split the votes enough to re-elect Obama.

In agreeing with radio host Mark Levin who said (paraphrasing) "wanting a third party candidate is really a cowards way out ." The Democrat party is the new socialist party as evident by what they have been doing and trying to do in the past year. The republican party is the conservative party. They don't always act like it but real fiscally conservative people are working to rid the party of phony conservatives. Wouldn't it be better and easier to do this than to have third party?

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
I don't think we'll see the Tea Party movement evolve into a third political party regardless of how much the MSM and the democrats would like for it to happen. The GOP will come to its senses and embrace them and their core values as we get closer to the 2012 elections.
A lot is being reported about the Tea Party movement, and not all of it is factual or accurate. Has anyone actually been to their website to see what they're all about? Below is the link, and for those so inclined be sure to check out their Mission Statement and Core Values: Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Govt. and Free Markets.

Re: Obama wins 2012 with third party help
The Tea Party organization can be summed up by their core values that Pilgrim already gave. The social stuff is secondary and doesn't drive the movement. The Democratic party in the last year has shown that they don't abide by those principles .
The tea party is most effective in supporting fiscally conservative candidates(republicans) and not as a third party alternative. They aren't a Party anyway. It's The Tea Party Movement.
