The Senate Dems managed to pass a cloture vote last night. You're right in that debate on the bill will now begin. But, passage of a final bill into law is anything but certain.

I HOPE some of those scum bag Senators get their heads out of that area that the sun does not shine. I do NOT want to live in the United Soviet Socialist States of America.

well i don't make enough to pay for after market health ins. the people fighting the hardest to keep this from happening is the insurance companies.

last year i had arthro kee surgery. total bill $19,000.00. the only ins offered in s.e. wisc at the time for gracie who carried it was united health care. how much did they pay? the same amount as paid into them. yep a miserable 4k$ was covered. last year gracie had 4k$ is heart tests. all the claims were denied. the work done in a covered facility using uhc doctors. why not covered? the ins claims the pre work call in by the hosp was incorrect.

the hosp will not negotiate stating that we should either take out a load against the house or drain the 401k to pay the bill. gonna be a long time to pay off at 15 bucks a week.

if something catastrophic happens just roll me to the side of the road and call in the crows.

Sorry to hear about the medical problems. Are we to infer you are in favor of Obama's radical takeover of the healthcare industry?

Re: Health Care Passes the Senate

I would rather have NO health insurance than Obama's GovCare. This is NOT health care reform, this is a direct attack on our freedoms AND our Constitution. NONE of this is LEGAL!! Wake up people, you are being .........................!!! Do NOT fall for this stupidity!!!

    Boycott louisiana and arkansas!

Here is the deal, there were two dems who held out till the last and those are the two who should be singled out with their states and be the focus of the people.

It is impossible for us here in the land of "free everything because I deserve" state, the union and the people here are not bright enough to see why we don't have jobs let alone what this is all about.

BUT it is possible to pick on these two democrats and tell them what we think by boycotting their states - Louisiana and Arkansas.

I think it is time we punish those who elected these two senators because most of the senators don't care about their constituents enough to vote how they want them to vote, so hurt the state tourism and make it known that we as a country don't need this cr*p health care jammed down our throats.

Re: Health Care Passes the Senate

Yes they do get $100 million, when we need money, our senators sit on their hands and say they will vote the party line.

I say boycott states that have these wafflers because a lot of these states do depend on tourism and if it is that important of an issue for people fight over, then it starts with the easiest way of changing the minds of the people who accept these bribes.

I thought there wasn't going to be this form of congress, the days of ear marks and rewarding senators and congressmen for their votes was over with this new form of Obama government. I was under the impression that because we have change we can believe in, we can belieive that there is some form of governing by the people as all the ACORN people said there would be after they told us we have a right to vote.

It is interesting that most of what we have with the present health care bill from both chambers should scare the h*ll out of seniors, the cuts to Medicare will take effect within a year of the bill's signing and it will open doors for other cuts in medicare in the near term but also help with expanding welfare - all at the expense of the senior citizen. Gone will be a lot of the things to keep people alive, just to pay for those extra people who are 150% to 200% above the poverty line.

Imagine that, a person with three kids making $38,685 to $51,480 being on welfare, food stamps and medicaid?

What has this country come to?

But the money will come from Medicare cuts, yep it will and those who think that they paid into the system with all that money will end up getting what they put into the system.

For some reason people are all up in arms with the new Mammogram guidelines, better get used to that because once the government has made these types of decisions, it won't be an option but a mandate for non-payment. People better look at why they did this at this time and who is pushing for it (hint testing the water with an emotional issue), it is now health care by accounting when you discover how it was decided - if you want a comparison, look at the history of the M16 and how cost accounting was used to manufacture the weapon at the cost of lives.

Boycott them. Tell the people who voted for them with your money - don't patronize a state that helps pass this health care bill.
