Sen. Tom Coburn, the Oklahoma Republican who developed a close friendship with President Obama when they served together in the Senate, is threatening to have the entire health care bill read on the Senate floor.
Senior Senate Democratic aides had heard Coburn was considering having potentially thousands of pages read aloud in effort to stall passage. “If he did this it would be even outrageous for a guy who’s become known as Dr. No around here,” one of them told POLITICO.

Coburn’s office confirmed that he is indeed thinking about having the bill read.

“That’s a possibility,” Coburn spokesman John Hart said. “He wants to make sure everyone has a chance to read the bill.”

Coburn, who has a reputation for using procedural rules to block and delay legislation, has been an outspoken critic of the president’s health care overhaul. He recently told the New York Times: “My mission is to frame this health care debate in terms of the fiscal ruin of this country. … I have instructed my staff to clear my schedule for every minute that bill is on the floor.”

LOL!! I would ask if there are ANY who can comprehend reality? OR, is it as I believe, THAT they have been living in the GAGA land that they call the Senate that they have NO REAL idea what the REAL world is like?

Just and FYI.

Carl Levin was part of the Detroit City Council when the city was in a serious decline and helped it along. When he became senator in 78, he helped further the decline of the state and the nation.

Regardless what little he has done, he has forgotten the people here in the state and that is why we have no real govern'mint jobs happening in our state like it is in other states, even with republican senators.

If this state doesn't do anything to correct the mess we are in, we are lost in the woods on a moonless night on every issue that comes our way.

Greg, you do NOT have to remind me how VILE a garden slug Carl (Marx) Levin is. I remember his votes on defense spending bills over the years and just how bad he hurt our military's ability to protect this nation. The ONLY enemy that pig is interesting in killing is un-born babies.
