There is no longer any point to this thread, it has gotten VERY silly.

The sub wars are a VERY dangerous game. It take YEARS of experience to play it correctlly. We did it right for 40 years. It helped to keep us OUT of facing the Soviets face to face and keep the wars smaller and FAR less deadly. Ignore this and it WILL expand.

The Russians ARE expanding again and looking to re-start the old Soviet Union. They had to murder more than 25 million last time to do it. How many more this time?

No reaction or improper reaction gives them a "green light" for the next move.

That is how it is.

to make this more serious....We are the ones that claimed to be putting a "defense missile system" on Russia's doorstep..and you know they were not happy campers..We could also have or had our subs too close....now Putin is doing the American counter move and put his subs here to give him his appearance of strength....move, counter move

Like you said Joe....a dangerous game by both sides...but one that has to play out now it maybe started again...

I wouldn't think our government is taking this lightly and wouldn't think they would give us up to the minute reports on what is being done but knowing your faith in our government I am speaking on deaf ears.

Remember OVM, that we have OFFERED on SEVERAL occasions to PROVIDE Russia with ALL tech info and/or hardware to INCLUDE them under the missle shield. They are opposed because the WANT Iran and North Korea to be able to attack Western Europe and the US.

Their goal of dominating the US has NEVER changed. It is a shame we did not see that when that "WALL FELL" and handling them in a more prudent manner.

Yes, we must re-play that game if it is re-starting. That is a real shame. It is expensive and VERY dangerous. It was NOT nessesary. Fools who never learned history screwed up again.

I for one don't have any faith in this government,but I do have faith in our navy and I'm confident that this matter is being handled in a most professional and experienced way by our sailors in the silent service.

What's the problem with the subs? They're just on their way to or from Cuba their sunny vacation spot right next door to the US! Just happens that the vacation spot of Cuba is so close to many US naval and air bases. Gives them plenty of opportunity to spy, look, listen whatever and challenge the US Navy. What fun! Vacation and work all in one trip!
