Re: Cerebrus to give up equity in Chrysler

    Cerebus offered their share to the UAW a few mnths ago so they could just walk away and the unio wouldn't take it....And ths deal with Fiat isn't a give nor is it a done deal....Fiat has to agree to all the the barry and his boys have setup and that is given yet.........I certainly wouldn't be running out and buying Chysler stock or Fiat stock thinkin I'd make a killing when this deal is done, it might not even get done.....

    With barry forcing the dropping of trucks and suv's available units, jeep isn't even a given and without jeep and truck sales, chrysler is done........as GM is when they cut 11 truck and suv lines out of the 20 profitable lines they have...........

    Green baby, think green......barry is, green vehicles, and $4 a gallon gas in in your future again no matter if you want it or not....and sooner then you think

    I don't knowt for a fact, but it is my understanding that Damiler still holds part of the stock, that may be the stock being refered to as chysler because, yes cerebrus holds the largest block.... but who knows, they are not going to be around as they are now for long and who knows after that.

    Re: Cerebrus to give up equity in Chrysler

    there is a lot of Chrysler stock, there are a couple forms of the stock but when Daimler sold off a chunk of Chrysler, it forced public stock holders to sell their shares back to chrysler which I thought was not all that legal.

    I love this from that freep article;

    "We try to do a good job every day, but when I hear our quality is not where it should be I'm not surprised," said Byron Dees, a diemaker at Chrysler's Mt. Elliott plant in Detroit. "These guys from Cerberus didn't invest in the business."

    Well Byron, they did invest but you didn't - get it straight. The company doesn't owe you a thing, your union does. This is typical.
