Democrats normally remain Democrats, and Republicans normally remain Republicans. The smart independent voters will research the candidates on the issues and their voting records, and make an informed decision. Should a person who is swayed only by Obamas middle name "Hussein", or the fact that McCain didn't do right by his first wife; really be voting? While its great to have all the available information on a candidate, smear (whether true or false) should not be the only determining factor. I am for McCain, but not because of skin color, a middle name, a crazed preacher, an insane friend, or a mouthy wife, but because I know what matters to me. Besides who doesn't have a nutty preacher, a sketchy friend, and a spouse who puts their foot in their mouth?

Who you associate with is a valid issue. You tend to "Pal around" with like kind. If you are a good moral person you tend to hang with good moral people. I don't consider a cop killer and traitor a good role model and I question the integrety of anyone who hands with them. Layoutshooter

Yes, one of my un-changable core beliefs. If you hang with scum you are scum. Very simple and to the point, and right. It has been proven time and time again. Rarely has it been wrong.
