Why wont they let Sarah talk to the press?

They are trying to sell her as a formable president but will not allow the press to interview her? Sounds like to me they needed the time to prep her on what to say, I do believe she is a trojan moose for George Bush policies to live on. Her "Thanks but No thanks" comment on the bridge to nowhere, it's a lie- she took plenty of money! I was thinking about her being a member of the Assembly of God faith- they speak in tongues, get the holy spirit, and lay hands on for healing- Hey that can be the new Health Plan for Republicans- you don't need medical insurance America !!! A holy roller, and a hot head in the white house- NO Thanks!

Bigger question is this;

Why is Oprah not interviewing her?

She should be jumping up and down on her couch over this.

It makes no sense to some that this 'star' who has been a favorite of women, who actually owes her entire fortune to her audience who are made up of women, would be first in line to have the second women VP nominee of the US.

Actually it does make sense, given Oprah's track record in other things and how she selectively does things to make her and only her look good. She is just like the rest of the media, hypocritical publicity prostitute.

It is also funny that Glenn Beck interviewed her and to my knowledge was the only one to do so.

Why no interviews?

I think it has to do with the media itself, I would hold off on interviews too because they have been going at her like hungry dogs at a sausage factory. After seeing how the media is trying to dig up dirt on her on religion, getting her ducks in order would be a wise move. The Media has dug up a lot of stuff but they don't know what to do with it. Some have told lies, like the thing about eskimos and the special ed funding being cut. They bring up her ties to a church that is nothing like Wrights church in Chi town where Obama sat for 20 some odd years trying to make her out as some sort of nut job.

Well Oprah is part of the media, she has more influence than Brain Williams and Ted Koppel and she has a lot better ratings (or did) than all three networks combined.

Right now, there isn't much difference between a talk show and a news cast. Look at CBS with what's her name, kuric, she made that out into a talkshow with opinions and comments with little real journalism.

Sorry, I don't agree. Ratings are one thing, Jerry springer once had Top ratings too- a talk show is not the world news. But who cares- don't you think it strange someone in her position is not giving interviews- this has never happened before ?

1. The press is biased for Obama/Biden. I would not talk with them either. They will report silly stuff like pregnate daughters but not criminal investiongations of the Biden family and the likely chance that Biden himself may be investigated as well. Not to mention his plagerism and "inflation" of his education backround. Little mention of Obama's associations with criminals and his "sweetheart" mortgage deal. A mortgage that a convicted felon helped him obtain. 2. She would kick the other 3 candidates collective butts. Not of of the other 3 candidates has ANY executive experiance. She is the only one with any and that is very little. If the press was really doing it's job NONE of these 4 would have made it very far. What a shame that this bunch is the best this country can come up with. I like what I see of Sarah. ANY women that can outshoot me is ok in my book!! She hunts, fishes and plays hockey. She has held jobs and run a small business and all this is in the recent past. Obama has not held a "REAL" job as an adult. Biden only worked a job for 4 years after college then went into politcs and that was ages ago. McCain did his thing well for years but ruined it by going into the Senate. If she is legitimate then she can back up her record, her stand on the issues, her beliefs, ect... and she can talk to at least FOX news can't she. But they have shielded her from all press! Very fishy to me.

They are accomplishing two things by holding off the interviews: they build up the anticipation of the first major interview which will be done by Charles Gibson, and they deny the mainstream media and the democrats the opportunity to define her with questions about her pregnant daughter, her religion, who's the Prime Minister of Lichtenstein and all the other "gotcha" barbs that will come with these sessions. In comparison, how long was it before Obama or Hillary went into interviews with Fox News or anyone else deemed to be hostile? BHO has only recently done an interview with O'Reilly, which didn't seem to be particularly challenging. How many has Biden done since the convention in comparison to Palin?

Leave the "fishey" remarks to Osama Obama!!! LOL And besides, how good are you at salmon fishing? Bet she could out fish you!!! Maybe even me!! I need to know more important things about her, like does she "spin" or flyfish for salmon? What lures/baits or flies does she use? What caliber and make of her hunting rifle? Neither Politics or jobs can put food on your table. Only hunting/trapping/fishing or farming can do that!! In fact, the only reason to work is to pay for hunting and fishing trips and stuff!! LOL. What you said about the A/G proves how little you know. All A/G churches are different. Yes that is the doctrine, but all are different. In my sister's church they what you talk about. If you go in my mom's you would think you are in a Baptist church. Plus what's wrong in believing in God for healing? All Christians do that. Not just the A/G. I've seen people lay hand on others in Baptist churches. I guess they are crazy to,huh? Why downgrade someone because they believe in something you don't understand? Come up with something newer than holy roller. It's to 1920s.

There are always bigots. If you don't like it, understand it or believe in it you must be either bad/stupid or duped. That is where groups like the Klan come from. Dont' forget, the Klan did not only "go after" blacks. In the early 1900's in mining towns in PA it was not out of the ordinary to have crosses burned on the lawns of immigrants. More likely to happen if they were union organizers. Unions were a tad different then. I remember my grandfathers telling me what is was like to owe the company money at the end of the week. The government had to pass a law to require the coal companys to pay a minimum of 50 cents per week. Other wise they could never get out of the debt they owed to the company. They HAD to shop at the company store, go to the company doctor and live in company houses. It was modern corparate slavery. Layoutshooter

Much like the Democrats supporting open borders, allowing the companies to abuse workers who come here as invaders who work under the radar with stolen identities and who are at the mercy of the people in charge at these companies allowing the companies to make more money?

The dems are the party of slavery, past present and future.

That one is real simple. The Equal Time rule of the FCC makes it so that, as much as Palin would make a great fit for Oprah's show, if you let Palin on there then every crackpot who is running for vice-president gets equal time.

Palin would be a great interview, but can the same be said for Billy Joe Bob's running mate? If you give Palin an hour, you have to give Joe Bob's an hour. Not to mention you'd have to give Biden an hour, for sure, and Oprah and her viewers could care less about Biden. This equal time thing affects national and local radio and TV for every election we have, including things like the 30 or 40 people who throw their ring into the hat for local city council, and crackpot or serious, they get Equal Time.

Let's see, Osama Obama was just on the Tonight Show. We shall see if McCain is invited. I don't believe the Feds have the legal power to inforce a so-called "Fairness" doctrine. If I owned a radio or TV station my answer would be something like K.M.A. Bubba!!! I have a RIGHT to freedom of speach. "Forcing" me to put on something would be interfering with that right. I have that right under the Constitution (you know, the one Obama does not believe in) I also earned that right with 20 years of my life.
