I understand from reading the latest incarnation of the Fairness Doctrine that it has Internet provisions written into it that make McCain-Fiengold look like a sunday get together with the girls. It will be interesting to see us go to pre-war britain style of free speech.

The problem with Oprah is that she has ****ed off her base twice, one with the endorsement of Obama and with this Palin thing. Her ratings dropped, she has been critisized for her 'falling at the feet of the messiah' and she put politics right in the spot light of her whole dog and pony show. I think her move into politicas was thought as it would shift more women to choose Obama over Hillary in the primaries, which in many ways it did. But she holds up the acheivements of the women Or did foremost (Rachel Ray was one of the people she held up as a shining example - puke), breaking that 'glass ceiling' which in this case is a big deal with Palin being second on a major ticket. Like the Clarence Thomas situation, she refused to embrace the chance to have on her program someone who really means a lot to a lot of young people because of the political position she holds. In truth, she is no better than Jerry Springer, just a lot richer.

you got a problem with Assembly of GOD? if you have never been then do not critisize my church. if church does not work for you that is fine. AG is not a Holy Roller church. We have beliefs that I would never have seen myself participating in 10 years ago but embrace now.

I used to like watching her until she became a brand. If she would have stuck to her show and the few specials, then it would have been alright but it is like watching Brittany or Lindsay lately, all the hype and in your face with Rachel got tiring.

She's cute? you mean was, gained some weight there Rachel, maybe hitting the wine a bit too much?

This isn't the first time people have made fun of our beliefs and it won't be the last. Most people that make jokes have never stepped inside an AG church to know what it is all about. My brother in law is an Assemblies of God minister.

Anyone can go to ANY church they wish in this country. That was one of the founding ideas. As a Catholic I have heard all kinds of thing about us and our beliefs. Hate is hate. People should just mind thier own business. I don't force anything on anybody, I expect only the same in return. Layoutshooter

I would stretch the non-engagement of the press for as long as necessary. The truth is that Palin has the Obama campaign in a total tailspin. The longer she stays away from the media, the more it frustrates the democrats. I think is is very deliberate, and seems to be really working.

I agree Layout. What he said about us not needing health insurance because we believe in the Lord to heal us would be similar to say if a Catholic was on the ticket and someone making a comment about "Well the troops don't need body armor now because the VP can ask St. Michael (think that's the right Saint, don't hate me if I'm wrong) to pray for the troops, so why would they need extra protection?" I've never heard an Assemblies of God minister tell someone they shouldn't go to a doctor. I personally believe that sometimes the Lord will heal you with his hand(he is the Great Physician), sometimes he will heal you through doctors, and sometimes he won't heal you at all like if it is your time to go home. I don't understand his plan, and don't pretend to. Our minds are just to small to comprehend even a small percentage of what he knows.

DrivingMeCrazy - FYI Govenor Palin will be on 20/20 Friday Night and will be interviewed by Charles Gibson. Dont underestimate her. She is very smart and a real person unlike 99.9% of the other politicians. All the Obama supporters talk about is change. Governor Palin is a change. Biden a change? I dont think so.

Biden is just a plagerist and lier. Obama is a Chicago Politics "Good Ole Boy" . Yep the ticket of change alright. The only way to have change is to turn the country around from it's path of the past 90 years or so and head back towars free markets, capitalism and personal responsibilty. Shrink government to what the Constitution says it is. Not the "All Knowing and All Loving" monster it has become. GEE, Obama, the "Messia" All knowing? It all fits!!!!!!!!!! You would be more apt to find snake handling, faith healing and talking in tounges inside branches of the Freewill Baptists and Pentecostal churches than the AG. What's worse are these cults that don't believe in doctors. There have been a number of cases lately where children have died because the parents wouldn't take their kids to the hospital because of their religious beliefs. These are classic cases of the religious rights of the parents and their ministers infringing on those of the children that may not have those same beliefs; a 10-year old might want to go to the hospital and be cured of his meningitis instead of being surrounded by the praying family while he dies a miserable death.

I have attended an Assembly of God church, and my son went to school there- we lived in Biloxi Ms and the public schools were very bad. I witnessed people speaking in tongues, running around inside the church, screaming, and people passing out by the alter- so don't tell me I know nothing about the church! And if you believe in that- thats fine, I don't care, was not for me.
I want the seperation of church and state ! And I don't trust Holy Rollers to have the power to decide for the country(who believe we are in the end of times anyways) when to push the button, pull the switch, drop the bombs!
Yes I would rather have a educated, calm, eager to TALK to allies, and foes, well recieved by our neighbors president. So i will vote Obama, you for for who you want.
