Acorn wants to be Investigated!
According to Wednesdays Toledo Blade, ACORN has "Chosen" a Former Massachusetts Attorney General a "Democrat" (Surprised?) To Investigate It's Housing Programs and "Other" Public service Projects! Democrat Attorney Scott Harshbarger Whose Specialties Include Corporate Governance said he will conduct a Full and Complete Independant Investigation. He said ACORN Understands the Need to respond in a Way that Talks about their Institutional "Integrity" and I will do The Best I Can to Get There ( Sounds Like a Cover up to me) How about you?

Re: Acorn wants to be Investigated!
How about going after them just like the press went after Nixon? I don't trust ANYONE from EITHER party to go after them. I would LOVE to see a real go getter non-partisan prosicuter to go after them. Look at voter registration, pole intimidation, fraud, mis-use of tax dollars etc. Any bets?

Re: Acorn wants to be Investigated!
The government, IRS, DoJ and others already said "so what, we are going to start our own investigations"
The IRS and the Treasury department has stated that they want full disclosure on the finances and because they are recognized (or part of ACORN is) as a 501 c(3), they can not refuse an audit by the IRS, they have to disclose everything. The problem is that the IRS and the states have to ask for the audit, any state can refuse to recognize them as a legit organization.
I would like to see someone at the IRS stand up and pull the 501 c(3) recognition of ACORN which means that they will have to go through the process of getting it back or be audited as a for profit business.Greg
