According the the post counter (#postxxxxxx - see any "permalink" URL), we hit 200,000 a really long time ago. The first post that started this thread, for example, is
37058 (number of threads) and html#post313284 (number of posts)
That assumes the thread and post counters started at 1.
Most people don't realize that
