No it is not symantics, because a tax is levied by the government, not a company.

A fee is levied by the company, in this case to cover the cost of the process of certification.

People fall for the idea that they are being 'taxed', bring up the garbage argument 'taxation without representation' with this and the IRS argument without thinking. Much plays on the emotion of being cheated, being robbed and the powers above, democrats for example, push this form of class warfare on religious grounds - the Jews are stealing you money.

This recent exchange started out as a somewhat interesting argument between two well-expressed sides, but from a spectator standpoint the focus seems to have been lost in insignificant minutia. First of all, if one doesn't want to pay the Kosher blessing fee all one has to do is look for the circled K or U on the product and don't buy it. That's what the free market is all about. Secondly, I wonder why I should give a rat's posterior about a collection of insignificant Zionist protocols written in the horse and buggy era by some pre-WWI crackpots? The idea that the Zionists control 96% of today's media and its content is just facetious, to put it mildly - especially with the influence of today's internet. Even if the Jews did have such control, they're sure doing a lousy job at being pro-Israeli.

I suppose it's enlightening to hear from someone who appears to represent a Muslim-Russian viewpoint, but the anti-Zionist propoganda just doesn't hold water. Anyone who is informed about the atrocities perpetrated by the Palestinians - whether it be by the Fatah or Hamas factions - understands that they are proxies of the Iranian govt. and their prime directive is to destroy Israel. Thus, the Israelis are forced to defend themselves in spite of giving way too many concessions in the name of peace and getting only rockets and suicide bombers in return. As far as Russia goes, we certainly need to maintain peaceful co-existance with them, but they need to understand there will limits to any efforts in trying to reassemble the old Soviet Union. One only has to look back at Hitler's agression that led up to WWII to understand why.

1) Many good points..actually I am not pro anybody. I just get tired of idiots who don't have a clue what they are talking about just bash away friends I have or have known who are Islamic.
