Newbie!

Looking for any helpfull intelligent information! I have a 2003 E-150 cargo van looking to get into the expedite game. I live in Acworth,Ga, can someone please point me in the right direction as far as getting started? At this point I have 100,300,50 insurance policy. I just got off the road,so I am familiar with being out there(Lease Driver With Prime Inc 2 yrs). Also Eventually I know I have to step it up with a sprinter or straight truck but The E-150 is what I have to work with now.

Re: Newbie!

The E-150 is not a suitable van for the typical nationwide expedite carrier with which you would hope to earn a good return on your effort and time. Desireable vans will have a minimum freight capacity of 2000 pounds. Some carriers still utilize "A" units which, in the past, were minivans and pickup truck with a contracted capacity of 500 pounds and one 4 x 4 x 4 pallet. Localized courier work might be more suitable for your truck, particularly around the Atlanta airport.

OntarioVanMan will become famous soon enough
Re: Newbie!

for the reasons Terry mentioned plus the fact your van is now 5 years old...some carriers won;t take older then 3 years.
