accepting jobs from unfamiliar companies
hello everyone. i drive a cargo van for a friend who has 3 vans and 2 14" boxes. we want to know if there is any place on here or on another site where we can see a "report card" from other expediters on how quickly the drivers got paid? is there work i don't want to take on? we have a few companies we do alot of work for but we would like to fill in the gaps with companies who are looking for o/o's. how do i know they are reputable or not-namely that they pay on time?

RE: accepting jobs from unfamiliar companies
try IODAC.COM they have a forum with report cards on different companies. You can also find some info on truck.net ..just run a search there on the company.
driversandexpediters.com has a list of companies but very few have actually had posts made saying anything good OR bad about the companies

You might also check www.expeditecarriers.com where some ratings of expedite companies are shown under the company name.
It appears from your comments that you drive for a friend who operates under his own authority. Are you looking for a reputable expedite carrier or are you looking for shipping companies that use expedite carriers?

thx everyone. we are are own authority. yes, terry and rene i'm talking about getting a report on these shipping companies/brokers who are looking for o/o's to pick up their freight. i'm sure some of these online brokers stiff the drivers after delivery.
p.s. this is an awesome site-lots of great info. i knew i'd get alot of help in this matter.

RTS Credit Service can give you credit ratings on brokers.
They offered recently a 90 day free trial to OOIDA members.
